A spring like day and birds on the move.

No time for birding today with a rush to get cars out for Easter plus road re surfacing over the Mountain stopped any chance of getting to the Raggalds Flood at lunch time with massive traffic jams.
A real bright spring like day with blue skies and wall to wall sunshine but no sign of movement over the village during lunch time.
A text from HC at Fly Flatts this morning then an e mail gave an impressive list whilst he was watching the area from the Oxenhope end.
Several raptors of 6 species including an early Hobby and a Red Kite were spotted moving through along with 5 Skylark and c 250 Meadow Pipits >N.
The Barnacle Goose was back up there with Canadas.
Thanks for the report Howard.
Also a report from a well pleased customer Margaret who had just seen her first Green Woodpecker at Ogden, an easy bird to hear but not easy to see.
At least 10 Ospreys heading up the country today with some already slipped through, see BTO vis Mig link on right. Watch those skies.
A day off tomorrow so lets hope Good Friday lives up to its name.
A Happy Easter to all.
