5th time lucky, Northowram Tree Sparrows

This is what all the fuss is about. Tree Sparrow
Amazing to get this sp. on local records
Well done to A.C. the original finder.

Late afternoon , sunny but icy cold so it was off down to Northowram C.C. for another try at the Tree Sparrows down there reported several times by Andy Cockroft.
On first sight the hedge was empty other than a Robin and a couple of Blue and Gt Tits but then a single sparrow could be seen moving deep in the hedge, TREE SPARROW !. This was soon joined by another 3 then several more flew in. Getting a photo was near impossible when they were moving through the hedge but briefly one came to the top giving me just enough time to snap it.
When the flock flew across to gardens there were 11 but could possibly have had some House Sparrows mixed in with them ?
Nice to meet the original founder down there A.C. who showed me the area and goes and no goes, thanks for that Andy.
This is my first local Tree Sparrow record ever, the nearest sightings I,ve had otherwise have been Knotford Nook and Fairburn donkeys years ago.
Also present were around 30 Redwing, 2 Stock Doves, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Chaffinch + usual sp.
