Tame Birding, Wibsey Park

The cygnet from the Horton Park pair plus a stranger

                            Coot with leg ring

  Underwater shot of Cygnet 694.
                      1 of 4 Tufted

Leg ring number of adult sent to Judy for I.D.

          Plenty Chaffinch, no Brambling
Alive with Collared Doves and Woodpigeons

With lack of access to most venues because of the Queensbury snow and the snow being too deep for the dogs to walk in locally it was off to Wibsey Park for some tame birding which goes against the grain but I wanted to find the cygnet from yesterdays pair of Swans .
As reported by Judy the cygnet 694 was there along with another ringed adult , which I,ve sent to Judy for I.D.
Plenty Coot, Moorhen, Tufted and small gulls along with 32 Canada geese but its not the same when they swim up to you and even walk round your feet, bit like going to the zoo.
Heavy freeze overnight but clear and sunshine so far today which will start to shift the white stuff.
