Snowy Queensbury and a near miss of Pinkies.

                  A snowy Foxhill lunch time
                        Perfect Pinkie skies

An icy Chapel Lane on the walk home from work

With snow most of the night and a heavy blizzard as I walked to work Queensbury soon came to a standstill during the morning rush hour but the rest of the day remained bright with perfect Pinkie moving skies though a watch at lunch time proved fruitless.
By 1900hrs this evening a thawing wind and drizzle came from the SW and as I walked the dogs the snow was well on its way.
Walking back to work after lunch I was surprised that no Pinkies had been reported but then at 1438hrs a message from my ever trust worthy lookout Peter Turner again provided the goods with c 50 Pink Footed Geese >W over Cooper Lane near Buttershaw but these will have passed to the south of the garage probably on the usual flight route over Shelf Moor and Northowram areas. Thanks for the report Peter, you,re working well.
