Queensbury Today

The eerie Lion Gates in the dark this evening
Common gull numbers keeping low in Foxhill

A bright clear day with early morning and evening freezing along several snow showers.

Foxhill park held 24 Common gulls at lunch time which is a poor count this year when up to 70 are usually present in January.
A single Jay flew into trees at the side of the park which is unusual and small flocks of Blue and Great Tits moved along the edges.
Driving past Shelf Moor  Lion Gates this evening I stopped to try a snap and a Tawny Owl was calling in the wood beyond.
