Northowram CC

Coley Church from the cricket club
          The long hedge
           Reed Bunts in the field
Several LBB and Herring gulls >W
At least 5 Reed Buntings present

First destination mid pm was Soil Hill with a planned hour sky watch for Pink Footed Geese after several reports today but that fell flat on arrival with mist covering the summit.
Next on to Ogden where there were mors cars than Brighouse Auctions so a quick about turn and down to Northowram cricket club.
The hedge there was lively but no sign of Tree Sparrow but Reed Buntings were showing well.
Herring and LBB gulls were heading west but no Pinkie skeins.
By 1500hrs the weather had closed in with poor visibility and heavy drizzle.
Although the weather has been against us this weekend I,ve managed to make the best of a bad job and half salvaged my time off.
Although I dont do park birding I enjoyed seeing and learning about the Mute Swans and this afternoons Reed Bunts saved the rest of the day.
