This working jobs no good !.

A reet good battering of hailstones on the way to work this morning made it like walking on marbles  then brightened up later to leave a decent day with good skies and a rise in temperature which is normal for Monday after an atrocious Sunday.
A bit of sky watching from work produced a few Fieldfare over >W and the local Sparrowhawk being heavily mobbed by firstly Starlings and then the feral pigeons from the mill.

A phone call from DJS late morning reporting a Gt Northern Diver on Mixenden reservoir was a great find but not for me on a Monday, why can,t these birds turn up on Sundays.
The last sighting of this species turned up on a Wednesday in July but I managed to get up to see it after work with light nights, this one will have to wait till Sunday if it wants to see me.
Good reports and photos from DJS, NK and Bradshaw John on their individual blogs.
Waiting for a call tomorrow to say it is on the Raggalds Flood so I can do a dinner time dash.!!

No pics today I,m afraid as there was nothing worth getting the camera out for, must try harder tomorrow.
