Old Guy Rd, / Shelf Moor trailer park field

                                      Skylarks showing well today

                                   All gathering food

                                 Few Mipits present

                                            Juv Meadow Pipit

Just when I said it looked as if all the skylarks had gone from Old Guy Rd a quick visit before work this morning found 6 gathering food on the cricket pitch with 2 juvs. Also present were a handful of Meadow Pipits with at least 2 juvs plus the usual Starlings.
No Wheatear as yet.
A check on Shelf Moor trailer park after tea found horses in the field getting the grass down so hopefully we can expect a Wheatear sighting shortly.
Again a steady flow of Swifts over Queensbury throughout the day all >SW and all in migration mode.

A good number of breeding birds seem to have done well this year locally. Its good when heavy downpours don't occur to wash them out. Mind you we might get some thunderstorms in the next day or so ?
