A flying teatime visit to Fly Flatts to get some seed down as tomorrow the whole of the Fly Flatts, Leeshaw, Oxenhope area is shut down due to there being more bikes causing a nuisance than usual.
A strong westerly wind was blowing with blue skies and sunshine so nothing moving sky wise.
Around 300 Canadas were present but keeping in the bay at the east bank and could only be viewed from above but with the aid of the scope I picked out 1 Barnacle and 3 Greylag, all of which are on the photo when its well blown up.
4 Redshank were present with 2 juvs now flying but somewhat unsteady whilst 3 Dunlin were mobile with 1 juv on the ponds.
6 Common Sandpipers were around the northern end but didnt have time to check up the south end where possible the LRPs had been as there were none at the north end.
A couple of Kestrels were up on the wind with good numbers of Swifts.
Meadow Pipits are now starting to increase in numbers and Curlews seem to have gone.
