Another p.m. visit to Soil Hill

                                   Ey up, somebodys coming
Oh no, a high  fence int way
Wonder if I can clear that
Eck, its higher than I thought
                                        Almost there now
                            Phew!   piece of cake
Can,t believe I cleared that height.
                              Male Reed Bunting gathering food
                         Meadow Pipit doing the same
Soil Hill north slope, warbler country.

Much better conditions than yesterday evenings visit with almost calm and very hot and sticky but this didnt seem to please the birds as only half as many were about. Probably got all the young fed and hit the shade before the next lot of feeding.
Only 2 Whitethroats were seen briefly and no Gropper or Sedge whilst 4 male and 3 female Reed Buntings were about but mostly at the northern end of the Shay.
Linnets were about in good numbers as well as Meadow Pipits and 2 Black Headed gulls were down in the bottom field.
A single Roe deer was at the NW end of the slope and headed off back towards Ogden.
