Raggalds Flood/ Roper Lane watchpoint

       Plenty Swifts >N off Roper Lane


                      Bradshaw pond
          Hazy sunshine over Ogden
                 The Withins on the horizon
                                      South down Calder Valley

Rushed dinner time today so a quick check of the Flood this evening and 15 minutes watch on Roper Lane.
The Flood still not producing any waders as yet but there is always something to see and very rarely nothing although sometimes they are to search for.
Roper Lane produced my first Queensbury Swifts this year with several slowly drifting through >N.

4 Canadas,  in sheep field to right
1 Pied Wagtail
2 Mallard
several Swallows

15 Swifts >N
2 LBB gulls >NW
5 Linnet
1f Goosander
1 Wheatear down hillside
3 Mallard and 1 Moorhen down on Bradshaw pond.
2 Kestrels.

2wk after radiation Lynda still suffering from effects with swollen sore eyes and very burnt skin which is slowly starting to heal but plenty discomfort for her with inside her mouth and throat burnt and blistered and unable to eat and hardly speak. Things should slowly start to ease from now so we,re told.
Several hospital appointments starting next week but back at Bradford now.
