Raggalds Flood temporarily out of action.

                                   Raggalds Flood bone dry
View east from Foxhill last light, the row of lights on the horizon
            is Yeadon airport.

A grey day with the relentless W>5 still blowing until it finally eased after dark.
A steady flow of big gulls throughout the day with Herrings moving high and >W whilst LBBs were heading >N with several over lunch time moving up the Aire valley.
Several Collared doves are back in the area  coo ing away on the chimney pots with 11 behind the house midday.
A quick drive up to the Raggalds Flood after work found it now dried up and even starting to green over, will have to put my rain dance into operation shortly.

The pilgrimage to St James hospital , Leeds starts tomorrow and then every week day for the next six and a half weeks so its working every morning and driving every afternoon with some birding squashed somewhere in between . Not the best of ways to use up this years holidays but it,ll all be worthwhile in the end. Lyndas nervous about it but after what she,s been through so far I,m sure she,ll handle it. These Queensbury lasses are made of strong stuff.
