Grey Partridge for Queensbury

                                 A touch of spring, Snowdrops

View >W from Roper Lane watchpoint over Ogden
Very distant record shots of 6 Grey Partridge
                                        From Old Guy Rd

A grey day with more rain pm but the wind had eased from last night.
Following a call from NK that he had received a report of 6 Grey Partridge off Old Guy Rd I thought it was worth following up as Grey Partridge are now very scarce in the village. They used to breed well at Oats Royd  but that was over 10 years ago.
A early morning visit to the site found nothing but lunch time was a different story with all six birds out in the open but very distant being a full 2 fields away. Thanks to NK for the call and to the finder that reported them.
All quiet at the Flood and only passing small gulls from Roper Lane watchpoint.
Well done to AC for finding 43 Snipe at Shelf Moor, see Andys blog.
