Coley ,Nowt but Corvids

Tons of Corvids in the Redwing field
                                        Mainly Jackdaws, some Rooks

                                           Skies full of em.

Who,s this appearing out of the undergrowth ?
                                                       Its NK doing his rounds.

With one hour to spare before afternoon visiting and the dogs needing walking it was down to Coley to get out of the SSW>7 although it was blustery even there keeping the birds down.
Corvids were plentiful, mainly Jackdaws, followed by Rooks and a few Carrion crow. The massive flock was very mobile moving from field to field but always returning to the Redwing field where 2 Pied Wagtails were feeding.
A Robin and 2 Wrens were the only other passerines present.
Nice to bump into NK who had done a circular tour of the surrounding area, see his blog for the report.

A nice surprise at the hospital today where Lynda has had the trac pipe removed from her throat and is now trying to talk and even get out of bed though she is still very weak and on Morphine for the pain.
They say she could be starting to drink by after the weekend and then get on to eating jelly etc.
Hope this wind drops by the morning.
