No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Queensbury today

A bright, mainly sunny day with a cold NW>4 increasing NW>6 by late afternoon.
Another boring report for the blog I,m afraid with nothing of interest around other than the usually Foxhill Common/ Black Headed gulls in small numbers , and an increasing number of Blackbirds.
The Lapwing flock at Shelf Moor was scattered over a few fields at lunch time but up on last years count at the moment with 185 throughout December 2012 rising to just over 300 in March 2012 before dispersion took place late March 2012.
Hopefully , with the count being nearly 300 now we should get a record count by March 2014.
