Queensbury Chiffchaff seen again.

The Chiffchaff in the Willows medical centre grounds , Chapel Lane, showed briefly again today as I walked home at lunch time but dropped down into the dense foliage before I could reach for the camera. From the brief glimpse I got it looked dark enough to be a common Chiffchaff rather than a paler Sibe.
Chiffchaffs have always overwintered but in very small numbers but this seems to be on the increase with 2 sightings recently in the Bradford area. The same applies to Blackcaps where more reports come in each winter of sightings on bird tables.
Otherwise quiet up here in the gods today , especially during the snow showers this afternoon.
