Chiffchaff for Chapel Lane

A watery looking sunrise beyond the parish church.

                                        Over the High St
                                   Washed out sky       Black Dyke

Just managed a few watery sunrise shots this morning before the clouds blanked it out bringing rain on a WSW>5 remaining showery all day.
A surprise walking down  to work this morning at first light with a small bird flitting about in shrubs in the grounds of the Willows medical centre off Chapel Lane. It showed briefly before dropping down into the thick foliage, an over wintering Chiffchaff. I had a bit of a scrat about at lunch time but could not re locate the bird although disturbed a Robin and a Wren in the same area.
Otherwise the wind and rain kept the birds down other than the Foxhill small gull flock.

Well done with the chiffy, that's a good record for December.
Went to supermarket first thing, saw the sky and said to J - look out for BS shots on his blog tonight. No disappointment there then, well done.

Getting a bit desperate for material during this quiet time and dark nights but can usually scrat something up.
Seem to be getting more over wintering Chiffys lately but no surprise, mild this evening with midges and flies around plus worms out in the garden.
