Slight ENE>2 Cloudy and mild.
What a day to say it was a working day .
It started with a phone call this morning from Keith Moir to say there was a Ringed Plover on Raggalds Flood and a later call from Keith told of a pair of Shoveler at Leeshaw.
After alerting the cavalry NK reported the RP still present late morning so a dash up there at lunchtime proved fruitful though dull light stopped any half decent photos.

A quick tea then over to Leeshaw finding, as usual, it was heaving with the usual Oystercatchers, Redshanks, Curlews, Little Owl etc plus the pair of Shoveler in the distance at the north end of the shore. A few record shots had to do in the dull light but a nice record for the area.
Good to meet Brian Vickers up there, another dedicated birder I have,nt seen for some time.
Thanks for the calls KM.

On the way back I stopped at Raggalds flood to see if the RP was still present which it was along with 2 Redshank and a mega bird Yellow Wagtail.

At work earlier,1700hrs  a large raptor was being mobbed near the garage over the Victoria Hall, looking like a Red Kite or possibly Buzzard but soaring very high. I shot in the garage for the camera but when I got back all had disappeared. Possibly ACs Red Kite from this morning but that will have to go down on the list of Cud av bins.
