Leeshaw Reservoir

                                    Noisy Oystercatcher
                                  Good number of Lapwings
                                        LBB gulls moving through
                                           1 of 3 Redshank
                                       Hare sheltering from the wind

                                                Swifts piling through

0645- 1000hrs.
Fly Flatts , low cloud, heavy drizzle, strong NW>5-6.
on to Leeshaw

Leeshaw, light rain with NW>4-5 brightening but still cold wind.
Nothing unusual at Leeshaw but always plenty to see. Swallows and Swifts piling through North but yesterdays Shelduck ( DP/NP ) , as expected had moved on.
Nice to bump into Ian Hargreaves, BOG, whom I havent seen for donkeys years so caught up with all the old birding times.

1 Common Sandpiper
3 Redshank
2 Oystercatcher
1 Grey Wagtail
1 Pied Wagtail
16 LBB gulls
2 Golden Plover
1m Reed Bunting
4 Linnets
Loadsa Swallows and Swifts
+ all usual sp.
Wheatears seemed to have moved through now.
