Leeshaw Reservoir/ Raggalds Flood

                                       40+ Greylags not including young
                                       4 of 6 Oystercatchers

c 80 Canadas not including  young

                                      No shortage of Swallows

Cuckoo in the trees seen across the water
30 minutes to locate this Cuckoo.   Digiscoped
                                          Same view 400mm.

A hot sunny day which is good for sun worshippers but not for birders

Leeshaw reservoir was quieter than usual with several of the usuals missing although fly fishermen didnt help around the shoreline.
No sign of KMs Egyptian goose from yesterday after an extensive search of all the usual geese fields but a Cuckoo was calling throughout and after nearly 30 mins scoping I picked it out in a tree across the water where it eventually got mobbed moving it behind the farm.
The ploughed field was empty other than the usual Lapwings.

A visit to Raggalds flood before and after Leeshaw found 3 Pied Wags and 2 Lapwing. Bring back the wind and rain.
