Big Gulls heading >NE over Queensbury

Hazy sunrise over the Willows medical centre

A bright hazy sunrise on the way to work this morning but was blanked out even before I could get to a good vantage point. Sun returned later in the morning giving a mainly bright day but still the icy cold W>4 stopping any chance of a thaw. Most of the snow has gone now but still some deep drifts over the Mountain.
Quiet skies most of the day until mid p.m. when big gulls started drifting over >NE.
The gulls were very high and in no rush to arrive at their destination slowly drifting and circling as they made their way >NE. Because of the height and no optics it was impossible the say between Herring or LBB but probably the latter as Herring gulls usually head >W over the village at this time of year. Around 18 were counted in the time I watched.
Hope you all get a good weekends birding in.
