Last light dash

Ready for roost   Last light pics

Didnt get out till 1515hrs but rewarded with a bit of extra daylight until 1615ish, never the less it was a dash round. Calm and slight rise in temperature with light snow throughout.
Checked Soil Hill only to find all the scrapes frozen over but the ground still soft but just the usual 2 Skylark about and a few corvids over.  Several small gulls along with some LBBs were heading for the Thornton Moor roost.
Down to Corporal Hill where the Lapwings have moved to a field along  Corporal Lane, thanks for the info phone call NK, with c230 present and c100 Starling but no Goldies.
Green Lane produced 1 Little Owl, several corvids and 12 Magpies at the usual roost.
Back home and even had time to wash the car before lights out , 1630hrs, latest yet.

With the Jay House Lane Pinkies today we have had reports of Pinkies over the area every day in the new year.
