NOTE !!

Soil Hill 100% Blank x 2

Soil Hill 1500-1600hrs. Strong WNW>6, good visibility.
A second last light visit to the hill found, once again not a single bird either in the clear skies or on the deck.
The only birds of note were c 500 gulls on TMR across in the distance despite a full search of the west and east summits without even a Skylark which have wintered up there in good numbers in previous years.
To continue NKs sheep story on Qbybirder one of the survivors was stuck with its back legs down in the mud on the top of the mounds with no chance of moving even when I approached but with a bit of a backbreaking lift it came free and carried on grazing as if nothing had happened. I got home muddy and smelling of sheep which got me a funny look from the wife ?
Them Snow Bunts have got to turn up soon.
