Queensbury Today

Common Gulls arriving back in Foxhill.
A poor dull rainy day never really getting fully daylight.
Common gulls are slowly returning to Foxhill Park now that the ground is soft again, though usually by this time of year we can be up to 70 birds whereas this winter we are struggling to hold more than a dozen.
A small flock of 7 Redwings flew over Foxhill at midday heading >NE and during the afternoon 4 LBB gulls went over the garage also >NE.
A single Goldcrest flew across the garage car park pm and disappeared into the garden in the top corner, an unusual sighting for here.
Only 4 days left to winter solstice now , the shortest day, so at least it will slowly start creeping to lighter evenings.
