Sundays Ogden Scenes

Fog creeping over the hill top

                                  Autumnal trees
                                   Bright sun on still waters

Just a few Ogden scenes taken Sunday morning before the geese started coming over.

Another wet and windy day deteriorating p.m. but this didnt deter NK picking up a record count of 8 Teal on the Raggalds flood, see Queensburybirder.
An empty park midday with no gulls present although bumped into NK on his way back from the hill who reported good numbers near the Raggalds flood.
A quiet day on the Waxwings with no grapevine or Birdguides reports for the Brighouse birds so it looks like Tracy and Denise just got down there in time yesterday.

Dave P went to B&Q on M62 today and found c30 Waxwing. He then went to Briguss Sainsburys and reports none present.

B&Q around 606 euroway used to be a hotspot. Good place for you to nip out to in your dinner time Tracy, its only over the road.

Ooo. Sounds interesting. Where is B&Q on M62? The one near to White Rose Shopping Centre?

BTW Brian, gorgeous pics - again!

Great shots by the way.

Its unbelievable that all the usual Rowans are without berries this year, even the tree by Wickes that is always packed with yellow berries is bare.
I suggested sticking Cranberries on the trees but Nigel has had a better idea, hes putting Cranberry juice in his bird bath !!!!

Thanks Brian. I suspect I will be there tomorrow lunchtime! It is only 5 mins from work. Fingers crossed the weathers better.

And my Rowan Tree gets delivered tomorrow! I doubt it will attract Waxwings but it may attract other birds in years to come.
