Soil Hill evening visit

Soil Hill 1630-1800hrs.  Red hot low down E>4 over the summit.
Hopes are fading for any waders now without some heavy rain as even the large ponds on the main track are rapidly drying up.
The Linnet flock was up to 38 tonight but very mobile with 4 Skylark, 3 LBBgulls >SE and the usual Curlews and Lapwings.

Full marks for trying and some interesting Curlew shots. We may get a couple of days rain, Tues/Wed.

Great shots - and a good number of Linnets up there - any juvs yet or are they all adults that just like the habitat for the seed?

All adults as far as I could make out Dave. Seemed to like the mud around the bits of water that are left.
