When is a Kite not a Kite, when its a gull

The spec drifting in the sky must be DJS s Red Kite
Photo blown up, its a chuffing gull.

Cloudy all day with threat of rain but holding off, reasonably calm.
A morning call from DJS of 2 Red Kite heading in my direction, ( see Calderbirds ), sent me dashing out in the car park with camera at the ready . After a few minutes sky gazing I saw a blip in the sky very high up and well to the SE of me slowly drifting >N. Thats one of them I thought snapping away and after a few more minutes watching for the second one I skipped back in the garage well pleased at my achievement. My good mood was very short lived as when I checked the image in the camera and zoomed it in I found I was on the wrong bird and got second prize of a gull.
Thanks anyway for the quick call Dave, the end produce could have been very different.
Otherwise a unreportable day with nothing untoward.
