Queensbury Today

A grey drizzly start and end to the day with some bright sunshine mid morning to early afternoon.
Good news from Calderbirds that the first Wheatear has been spotted, hopefully they,ll be showing well by the weekend. Yesterday on birdguides only 2 were reported but today several sightings have been published.
This is the second day now with gulls absent from Foxhill park so it looks like they have moved on to their breeding grounds.
Good news on yesterdays Tawny Owls as they were present again today roosting in the same ivy covered tree but had moved higher up and deeper into the foliage nearly out of sight. In the same location a pair of Mallard look like re using the same nest that was successful for them last year. Thanks again to the owner for letting me trudge about in his garden.
