The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Atrocious conditions

Fog below. Thornton Church

Sweeping across the valley

Looked like the valley was on fire

A terrible day with thick fog to start then clearing before lunch when the fog dropped below us into the valleys only to return again late afternoon. Drizzle throughout the day along with heavy showers of rain.
Needless to say, a birdless day other than large groups of Starlings attacking garden feeders and 28 Common gulls on Foxhill park midday.
