The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Another aborted Sunday

Ogden, as good as it got

Yet another Sunday morning of thick fog and rain aborting Fly Flatts for the 6th week running and even down at Ogden there was low cloud and heavy drizzle. No sky movement at all other than a few Woodpigs >W but going on the direction these were probably just local roosting birds.
The water held the usual small gulls and Mallard along with 6 Canada Geese and a check through the Chaffinch flock failed to produce Brambling.
At least Im back at work tomorrow where I can do some serious birding, so far all my vis mig reports have been to and at work with no sunday morning watches due to the weather and theres only about 3 Sundays left to the season now.

It's still not playing fair for you! We ended up with a second Brambling the day after but they've moved on.
