The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Thar she blows.

By eck but its breezy ont top ot ill today, even by Queensbury standards. The wind has steadily increased in strength all day and by late afternoon it was blasting at near severe gale SW>8 although we,ve had a lot worse in the past. Everyone seems to have kept their roof on and the only signs of damage are a few branches broken from trees in Foxhill park although dodging the flying wheelie bins on the way home was a work of art.
Looks like weve another day of this yet before it blows itself out.
Gale force winds and still that Nigel fella trudges up Soil Hill to check out the days goodies or lack of them, if there was a annual dedication trophy for birding I think NK would have a shelf full by now, keep up the good work.
Needless to say, after all this talk Ive nothing to report from up here in the gods for today.
