The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Queensbury Today

A mixture of sunshine and cloud today with an odd shower thrown in for good measure.
Raptors were on the move today with 2 sightings of very high birds, one from Foxhill at midday and one late afternoon over the garage both going >SE and both looking to the naked eye to be Sparrowhawks.
52 House Sparrows were on and around the garden feeders at midday with Lynda on raptor watch, brush at the ready.
Common gull numbers are slowly rising in Foxhill park with 18 there early morning but these soon move on leaving about 4 which stay the day.
