The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Foxhill today & i.d. the flying birds

A sunny evening in Foxhill park

Can you I.D these two birds that flew over Foxhill.
I know what they are but do you off the photo.

Another day of drizzle, rain showers and westerly winds.
Swallows are still feeding well in the park with hundreds of large black flies about with long dangling legs ?
Alba Wagtails are starting to trickle through >S with 8 seperates being counted throughout the day, strangely Im still down to one Grey Wagtail this year.
A walk to Old Guy Rd tonight found 4 Skylarks on the cricket pitch but no sign of Wheatears.

Kestrel on the left and probably a Kestrel on the right - but - the one on the right does look long winged and pale rump/under tail and a larger head but still can't turn it into a harrier so go for Kestrel?

This is a long shot but could juv Common Gull come into the equation on the right.
C'mon put us out of our misery!
