YL Gull from opposite shore
3 Herons present
Ogden Calm, hot and sticky. 0715-0830hrs
Just a once around the reservoir this a.m. found the YL Herring gull still present along with Common , LBB and Black Headeds.
The gulls were on the west shore out of sight from that area due to trees and thick vegetation so could only be viewed from the opposite shore.
Very little else about apart from 3 Herons, several Swallows and a suprise Swift over >SW, is anyone else still getting Swift?

Glad you got out again and got YLG. I had a couple of Swift on Friday at SH and would expect more in trickles until two weeks hence.
Good to see you out birding Brian, we are still seeing Swifts feeding over
the houses in Cullingworth every morning usually about 15 of them.We
will have to make the most of them if they'll be migrating South soon.
Danny.
Lots of Swifts down this end Bri - well having said that not as many as a few years ago in this vicinity when we got 50+ screaming round at end of July. Now about 20+ most evenings but its always a blow when they move off!
