The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Goldcrests at Foxhill

5 Goldcrests were in pine trees by Foxhill park this evening which is an unusual sighting to even see one during the summer. This must have been a family moving through as its very early for any dispersion.
A few Swallows were feeding over the trees but again no sign of Swifts.
2 Heron flew >N early evening and the large female Sparrowhawk whistled over the garden feeders but went away hungry.
