The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

2nd brood of Starlings out

Starlings on mass at Foxhill

A bright day despite the weather forecast predicting heavy rain, that will probably come in the morning!
Busy at work this morning so not much chance for checking the skies although I did get 2 Skylarks over >SE early doors closely followed by 3 Pied Wagtails which points to a bit of dispersion.
Foxhill park was alive with Starling today with mainly adults busy feeding, with hungry juv calls from the trees as the 2nd brood gets mobile.
A quick trip through Wilsden tonight found several LBB gulls heading >NW and a single Kestrel hovering over the fields.
