The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Dinner time dash down the Dailies

The old track bridge
Linnet area
An old ventilator shaft
You dont feel like working when you,ve climbed this!

Dailie Fields. Bright start then strong W>4-5 with rain showers and drizzle.

A quick dash down the Dailies during my lunch hour just to top me up till the weekend and stop me getting withdrawal symptoms
although when you,ve climber back up the hill at a quick pace you dont feel much like working.
Due to the strong winds and drizzle the birds were lying low although I did manage a few regular species to make it worthwhile.

1 Green Woodpecker
2 Snipe
8 Greenfinch
1 Linnet
12 Fieldfare
3 Redwing
11 Magpies
26 Woodpigeons
5 Stock Dove
+ usual Corvids and small gulls

PS.  Customer came in today to tell me he got the Hawfinch at St Ives Bingley today with crippling views, see BOG website for details.
