The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

No sign of thaw

Well the man in the shop told me they were Huskies?
Trying to keep warm
Across the fields to Old Guy Rd

Very cold day with sub zero temperatures but some nice clear blue skies and only the odd light snow shower.
Just the usual sp. about busy feeding around the gardens plus a good number of small noisy gulls chasing each other around and squabbling over scraps of food. Lets hope this weekend turns the corner for milder weather.
Whats happening Nigel, no reports for Soil Hill in the last two days, thats not like you. The snows only about 6ft deep up there!

I've been shovelling snow out of community car parks and looking out for Herring Gulls.
